#POLITICS #HISTORY THE #LIFE_AND_WORKS OF THE #NATIONAL_TRAITOR_CONSTANTINOS_KARAMANLIS
Who was Karamanlis, really, whom certain opportunistic accomplices and those ignorant of history refer to as the “Leader of the Nation”?
a) He did not serve in the Greek Army, nor did he ever participate in any of the nation’s armed struggles. This was because he was exempted due to deafness (hence the nickname “the Deaf One” given to him by his political opponents).
b) He rose to prominence in politics thanks to his morally questionable personal ties with Lambros Eutaxias, a leading figure in the People’s Party. A telling scene is described by Georgios Papandreou, who, at the funeral of a prominent figure, noticed Karamanlis standing in front of Eutaxia and remarked in his characteristic sarcastic tone: “This is the first time in my life I’ve seen Karamanlis standing in front of Eutaxia.”
(c) Extremely ambitious and power-hungry, he managed to become prime minister when no one expected it, with the help of foreign powers. The British and Americans promoted him at the expense of the “favorite,” Panagiotis Kanellopoulos, so that he would carry out their plans without protest.
(d) The prime minister signed the treacherous Zurich –London agreements, which buried the issue of Cyprus’s union with Greece; by treating the Turks as equal negotiating partners and a guarantor power, we were led to the tragedy of 1974. In fact, he had brazenly declared that these agreements represented “the happiest days of his life”!
(e) While the Greek people were demonstrating in support of EOKA’s struggle, he ordered the police to beat protesters mercilessly and even go so far as to murder them.
(f) With his erratic, anti-popular policies, he led the EDA (the KKE’s united front) to become the official opposition in 1958 with 25% (!) of the vote, just nine years after the military defeat of the communists.
(g) He bears primary responsibility for the urban planning monstrosity that is modern Athens.
(h) He created staggering unemployment, resulting in hundreds of thousands of Greeks leaving the country in search of work.
(i) As a true “opportunist,” he left his party in 1963 in anticipation of an impending electoral defeat and fled the country under the pseudonym Triantafyllidis.
(j) He returned as prime minister in 1974, again with the help of foreign powers, completing the sellout of Cyprus.
(k) He legalized the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) completely arbitrarily and without even a single statement of repentance from the Bolsheviks for their crimes.
(l) As part of the “de-Junta” process, it gave everything to the Marxists in exchange for their “kind words,” resulting in their complete dominance in all areas of life.
(m) “Opportunist” once again, foreseeing his electoral defeat in 1981, made a run for it yet again, this time becoming president of the republic. To do this, he dissolved both the EDIK and the National Alignment, thereby once again indulging his obsession with the presidency and paving the way for PASOK’s rise to power.
